Do you have a dream?
Not a “maybe I will get around to this someday” kind of dream.
No.
A different kind of dream.
The kind you don’t dare speak out loud into words for others to hear.
The kind hidden deep in your heart. So deep you don’t even know how to describe it.
That was me. Is me sometimes. Even now.
Even now that God has gotten ahold of my heart, turned me inside out with his unfathomable grace, and poured me out ready to share.
But I know it’s there.
This God-sized dream.
Yes, sometimes hidden away. But not quite as buried as before.
And something stirs in me. Something.
The something I’m learning to listen to again. Or someone rather.
It’s the still small voice of the One who births the kinds of dreams within us that are at times bursting to come out and other times buried beneath layers and layers of the everyday.
But it’s time, friends.
Time to dig up the dream. To unearth the seed of wonder and mystery and life. To welcome it back to the world.
It’s time to nurture it, to let it grow into the fullness of what God has for you and your life.
No more hiding.
No more excuses.
Our lives, poured out for Him and His glory.
His power at work within us.
It’s time to pursue our God-sized dreams.
One. step. at. a. time.
Release fear. Walk in faith. Embrace freedom.
And take that first step. Secure in the One whose power is at work within us!
Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us; glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 CEB

Fellow dreamers…what is your God-sized dream?
Or maybe you’re like me and can’t see the full picture but are walking in faith step by step.
What’s your next step?
Share in the comments and we’ll encourage one another, just as the body of Christ was designed to!
What a beautiful blog!! Your words rang so true to me…yes, I get it!! Keep sharing, keep inspiring, keep welcoming God’s words to flow through you! 🙂
Thanks Christine! God is revealing His dream for me in baby steps. But that’s all we’re called to do. One step, then another, and another. He has prepared the way!
LeeAnn,
What a beautiful blog! I think our fear speaks loud when we try to tap into what we are called to do. We just have to do it anyway 🙂 I wrote about my fear and dreams on my recent blog post https://northfieldgate.blogspot.com/2014/01/becoming-letter-to-myself.html
Thanks Yuko! It was a blessing to be at The Barn Event with you and all the other brave ladies. I’m excited for you starting your blog too! You taking the plunge and going for it inspired me to go ahead and start mine too.
The best advice I’ve received since I started my blog is “keep writing and keep sharing.” Together, we’ll keep writing, keep sharing, and keep moving forward! Thanks for the inspiration oxox
Oops, I think part of the comment disappeared. I said, I’ll come back to read more after the kids go to sleep tonight 🙂 oxox
Beautiful reminder, LeeAnn! “far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us” That is an amazing thought, isn’t it?
This phrase was actually on our family’s Christmas card this year. We’re expecting an incredible year – more than we could ever ask or imagine!
I just love that verse so very much! You’ve got me all curious now..wondering what your dream is. 🙂 Keep pursuing, following, chasing.
God-size dreams. He places them in our hearts so therefore He wants to see us reach for them and achieve them. Even knowing that, my fear of failure keeps me paralyzed sometimes from actively pursuing what is in my heart. This is a good reminder to trust that God is greater than my fear. I can do all things through Him!
Hi Margaret,
That fear of failure surely can be crippling! I’m learning though that it’s in the failures that we learn and grow the most. It’s so apparent that God is working mightily in your life; I can’t wait to see what He does next when you continue to trust him and push away the fear. Love you!
LeeAnn
LeeAnn, I’m so thrilled you linked up your post for Three Word Wednesday. It’s posts like yours that have inspired me to finally believe God has a God-sized dream for me too. I shared earlier in the month how mine is to write an e-book on finding joy during a year with my husband deployed. It still makes me shake to write that or say out-loud but there it is! I’m so grateful to all of you who are willing to share yours.
I hope you will join us in future weeks for TWW. We have a delightful community growing. It has warmed my heart and I love one God leads new people to join us.
Many blessings,
Beth
Hi Beth,
Thanks for stopping by and taking time to say hello. Writing an e-book on finding joy during your husband’s deployment will surely be an act of obedience that will bless so many other women who have been or will be in your shoes. Praying you’ll follow through with your God-sized dream!
Blessings,
LeeAnn
