I’m Sticking Around

January 26, 2014 By LeeAnn G. Taylor

Do you ever feel like giving up?

Like what you’re doing isn’t making a difference?

My dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Don’t let anything move you. Always give yourselves completely to the work of the Lord. Because you belong to the Lord, you know that your work is not worthless.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIRV)

So, I’m sticking around. Not giving up. Waiting for God to listen to my cries and trusting Him to make things right.

How about you?

But me, I’m not giving up. I’m sticking around to see what God will do. I’m waiting for God to make things right. I’m counting on God to listen to me.

But me, I’m not giving up.
I’m sticking around to see what God will do.
I’m waiting for God to make things right.
I’m counting on God to listen to me. Micah 7:7

Oh yes, I’ve felt this way many times. I am taking some time to lean in and listen. It’s hard to hear Him through all the busyness. Thanks for linking up with The Weekend Brew!

I think that hearing God in the middle of our busyness is key for the current crop of Christian women. It is imperative that we make time to be still and listen. Totally agree with your comment – we must TAKE time. We all make time for the things that are most important to us!

God has had me sticking around in the Sandwich Generation issues for several years now. 🙂 We all go through those tired or cranky moments when we just want to throw in the towel and quit! Then God comes alongside, blesses us with encouraging and comforting Bible verses like the ones above, provides hugs from loved ones big and small, and keeps us keeping on in Him. No better place to be.

Have a blessed and beautiful week!

Oh yes, I experience those tired and cracky moments often. Just had a spell of that last week when our car was in the shop and our truck got stuck in 4 wheel drive and the frustration spilled out of me – I didn’t want to keep calm and remember God is in control. In that moment it felt better to vent my frustration. For that one moment. Then I gained a better perspective and turned that into gratitude for all I DO have instead of being frustrated with my (rather minor) problems. Thanks for stopping by the blog and commenting today!

Thanks LeeAnn, I needed this reminder. I had this almost giving up moment(s) lately, but I will be sticking around! God has a plan for each of us. ox
